So now Im back from China already 5 days or so. We had lots of fun in Yuxi. Afterwords we spent some time in the vilages and teaching in 2 middleschools English and about HIV/Aids. Time went very fast whilst having fun so soon we had to move on. My group decided to go to investigate about 3 gorges water dam ( a.k.a 3 days on a river boat with few constantly drinking tourists) On the last day when we reached the dam it was actually quite cool experience, I mean the thing is really huge. The rest of the 3 days we mostly played UNO :)
We stopped in Wuhan for few days and met up with the group. For me this one was the worst place of entire travel. Maybe twas the crappy weather, weird hotel or just the really grey town with booring buildings or maybe it was tiredness from the long travel. but that was really most unpleasant place for me.
I was glad to move on to Shanghai were we spent some fab time investigating about Chinas future and visited TG sofa factory and lived in a beautiful apartment of one of the TGs. I also accidentally amazingly met my ex DI teacher from CICD ( Mary Bokosi fra Malawi). It was really great to talk to her again and make some pics aswell :)
Besides the sofa factory we got a chance to discuss in an English corner with some UNI students. It was really quite unexpected what kind of views they have on China but twas great really. They gave me Chinese name ( Pan Na).
So after Shanghai I looked forward going to Beijing to finish up this 4 month of snooping around in other countries.
Well Beijing was cold....really cold! As soon as we arrived we entered 4days of common meetings from morning till late evening. That was a bit much. People started getting sick again...this time it seemed it was mostly becouse of cold. We discussed teaching practise next year and at first I was so exited to finally have it but after it seemed Im even more confused where and what Id like to do next year :(
well Im suppose to think it over while being on homeleave now and here....
To finalise the travel we visited te Forbidden city and the Great Wall. I loved that I had the chance to stroll around the Forbidden City on my own..twas the best that way ( I recomend). I absolutely did not expect the walk on the wall to be so hard. I thought that u know its kinda like a strit onwalk where u walk like in the park. Nobody mentioned climbing up hills to get there and then that the wall is built going alongside mountains and walking on it is like walking in the mountains up and down....well I didnt too much effort to find it out myself but anyways... well besides that it was lot of fun anyhow and we made lots of funny pics which I'll put up in the ned as soon as I get my hands on em.
well after Beijing it was time to fly home....Twas waaaaay to long haul and I was completely sick and exhausted by the time I reached home. So now Im here in Tartu with a scarf arounf my neck, runny nose and a sore throat :(
